Veterans Victory Lap
Promoting veteran engagement in our community

Durham North Carolina Veterans Victory Lap - About

The Veterans Day Victory Lap is a celebration - of new beginnings, of a job well done, of community joining together, and of excellence in service.

What is it?

We invite you to join us any time between April 19th and May 7th to run the 3rd annual 5K “Victory Lap.” This year the event will be virtual, so you choose the course! Whether you run, walk, ruck, (or even crawl), we appreciate your participation as we celebrate the rich history of service in the Armed Forces that exists right here in our region.

Why here?

North Carolina has the third highest population of Veterans in the US, and hundreds of thousands of them live right here in the Triangle Region. They are our family, our neighbors, our teachers, our colleagues, our local business owners, our public servants, our friends - our community.

What's the Impact?

The Victory Lap is dedicated to celebrating the “second lap” that many veterans are running right now, and to celebrate the organizations and community efforts dedicated to supporting that victory lap. Proceeds from the race are dedicated to Purple Heart Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization founded by military veterans to provide housing solutions for service connected disabled and aging Veterans.
